Cutting glass tiles is very similar to cutting ceramic or ceramic tiles. You can cut glass tiles with tools suitable for cutting ceramic tiles, including diamond saw blades, glass cutters, water jet cutting, and mechanical cutting.
How to cut glass tiles with a diamond saw blade
- First, mark the surface of the glass tile with a pen. You can draw a line on the glass tile to mark the area to be cut.
- After determining the size you need, use a saw blade to cut. Carefully and evenly apply pressure to the saw blade on the glass tile. Cut along the marked line.
- During the cutting process, add water at a uniform speed while cutting to prevent chipping.
- Then gently tap the glass tile with an instrument to prevent cracking, and the cutting is also completed.
After cutting, you can use sandpaper or diamond hand pads to remove cutting burrs and smooth the cut edges of the glass tile.
