DIY To Remove Alkali from Marble Countertops

Alkali backflow on marble countertops refers to the phenomenon that alkaline substances (such as calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, etc.) in marble are precipitated onto the surface of the stone due to water evaporation, forming white or yellow spots. Alkali backflow will affect the beauty of the marble countertop and may cause discoloration and damage to the stone.

My bathroom marble countertop was corroded by detergent and turned white, which troubled me for a long time. I used several detergents but couldn’t wipe it off. It still turned white after drying. Until I used a stone crystal plating agent, it really became as bright as new after use, and the marble countertop no longer looked like a white surface.
